Eventing Pacers Show Well in NC

Aiken, SC (11/07/2018) — The University of South Carolina Aiken Eventing Team placed in the top 10 during the Tryon Riding and Hunt Club Horse Trials in Tryon, N.C.

Out of 11 collegiate teams, the Pacers placed 3rd and 5th.

Individual riders also placed in the top three in their divisions.

At the end of the two-day event, USC Aiken riders who came home with ribbons were:

Bailey Hamilton on Chantilly Lace and a Pretty Face: 1st in Beginner Novice - A

Amanda Fisher on Howie's Shootin' Star: Tied for 1st in Beginner Novice - B

Keileigh McMurray on Rapport: 1st in Starter

Sarah Cundith on Big Sur: 3rd in Novice

"These eventers train hard and represent the university all over the region," said Michelle Hodge, advisor for the eventing team.

"Not only are they leaders on the collegiate circuit, but they are helping grow this unique sport on our campus."
