Opportunities for Coverage: Events Associated with Dr. King Celebration
Aiken, SC (01/18/2019) — Aiken Technical College and USC Aiken students are collaborating for 5 Days of Service, a new week-long service initiative in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
The initiative provides an opportunity for participating college students to make an impact at five local nonprofit organizations during a five-day period. Although the idea for the outreach effort was created by the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Celebration Steering Committee, students from both institutions have coordinated and planned all events.
The 5 Days of Service Initiative will also lead into the annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Celebration to be held Sunday, Jan. 27 at the USC Aiken Convocation Center.
Media representatives are invited to cover all related events.
