Student Activities Center Abuzz on Day One

Aiken, SC (08/26/2019) — The University of South Carolina Aiken Division of Student Affairs hosted an open house, greeting students as they returned to campus for the first day of classes.

The Student Activities Center, located in the heart of campus, was packed with Pacers learning more about the opportunities and programs hosted by Student Affairs.

"The SAC is a place for students to gather, study, unwind and recharge," said Ahmed Samaha, vice chancellor for student affairs.

"We have a little something here for everyone, regardless of major or whether they are commuter students, residential students, international students or non-traditional students."

Samaha's office - and that of his staff - is located in the SAC, which also houses the bookstore, Starbucks, a gym, the Student Health Center, meeting spaces, a commuter lounge, gaming areas, and the cafeteria. He invites students to pop in any time.
