Student Works Featured in USC Aiken Exhibit

Aiken, SC (08/27/2019) — Broken Ink, the University of South Carolina Aiken's literary and visual arts magazine written and produced by students, is hosting an exhibit of works featured in the most recent edition of the publication.

"We [at Broken Ink] are very excited to showcase all the talented artists at this university who submitted work to Broken Ink and to share them with a new audience," said Professor Roy Seeger, faculty advisor for the publication.

An opening reception takes place Aug. 29 at 3 p.m., in the Etherredge Center Upper Gallery. This event features a gallery talk with USC Aiken art professor Dr. Jeremy Culler and members of the Broken Ink staff. It is free and open to the public.

"We hope this gallery reception shows the exceptional talent of our students and creates more awareness that Broken Ink is a venue for that creativity," Seeger said.

The exhibit showcases 20 pieces of art, including photography, drawing, painting and poetry, by 13 students. Their work can be seen through Sept. 27. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
