USC Aiken's Educators Present at State Conference

Aiken, SC (10/31/2018) — Faculty and teacher candidates from the University of South Carolina Aiken School of Education presented their research during a statewide conference in Columbia, S.C.

Early childhood students, Kelli Prather, Abbe Webb and Lindsey Calhoun, joined Dr. Sally McClellan and Dr. Kay Burks to present "Sharing the Early Learning Standards with Parents during the Week of the Young Child."

"The parent-teacher partnership is so important to the educational experience of our youngest learners," said Dr. Judy Beck, dean of the USC Aiken School of Education."

"The research these students and their faculty mentors are doing will strengthen that important relationship and increase understanding between parents and teachers, so together, they can maximize learning in every student, each of whom has a very distinct and unique learning style."
