USC Aiken Set For Fifth Annual Hoops For Heroes Blood Drive Challenge

Aiken, SC (02/15/2018) — The University of South Carolina Aiken will participate in the Hoops For Heroes Blood Drive Challenge on Monday, Feb. 19 from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., in front of the Student Activities Center (SAC).

The blood drive will take place just two days before the USC Aiken men's and women's basketball teams square off with Augusta on the court in Augusta, Ga.

Both schools will be compete against each other in terms of which school can donate more blood. If one cannot make it to the SAC on Feb. 19, fans can still donate. On Monday, Feb. 12-Feb. 19, USC Aiken fans can go to any Shepeard Blood Center and donate blood that will still go toward the challenge. To do so, use reference group code #1370 at the registration.

Those donating on Feb. 19 will receive a free t-shirt. Free pizza will be served for those that donate between 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.. For more information on this event or how to donate, please visit www.shepeardblood.org.

Donors must be 17 years old or older without parental permission, or 16 years old with a signed parental consent form. USC Aiken has won the first four blood drive challenges.
