UofSC Aiken Ranked a Top Public Regional College in the South

Aiken, SC (09/13/2021) — The University of South Carolina Aiken (UofSC Aiken) is the No. 3 Public Regional College in the South, according to U.S. News and World Report's annual undergraduate rankings released Monday (Sept. 13). This is the 24th consecutive time UofSC Aiken has ranked in the top three.

"These rankings once again testify to the outstanding education offered at UofSC Aiken made possible by the dedicated commitment of our talented faculty and staff," said Dr. Dan Heimmermann, chancellor.

The university also ranked No. 2 in the Best Colleges for Veterans category.

According to the report: "U.S. News measured academic quality using 17 metrics, with the most weight placed on outcomes, including not only the ability of a college to retain and graduate its students from different socioeconomic backgrounds but also their graduates' average indebtedness. Class size, undergraduate academic reputation, and how much colleges invest in instruction and student services are among the other data points U.S. News collected to develop the latest set of rankings."
