USC Aiken Excellence in Advising Award Winner Announced

Aiken, SC (05/13/2020) — The University of South Carolina Aiken awarded the Excellence in Advising Award to Ellis Reeves.

He currently serves as the program coordinator for Palmetto College at the university. In this role, Reeves advises students within the School of Business Administration and the School of Education.

Admittedly, Reeves has developed a self-described "intrusive" philosophy of advising. With this approach, he intentionally helps students in all aspects of their college career.

His colleagues and advisees have noted his tireless support of students, determination to keep students actively engaged, and ability to empower students to take ownership of their educational journey.
