USC Aiken Plants Tree In Quad on Arbor Day
Aiken, SC (04/29/2019) — On Arbor Day, University of South Carolina Aiken's master gardener, Kevin Butler, plants an Indian Hawthorn in the center of campus.
The Tree Campus USA chose this variety in part because of its size
"Majestic Beauty Indian Hawthorn is an attractive small evergreen standard or multi-trunk tree-like shrub," according to the Urban Forest Eco systems Institute's website.
"It is an excellent choice for small courtyards and tight frontages or interior spaces."
