Faculty Art Exhibit Draws Money for Student Scholarships

Aiken, SC (08/04/2018) — University of South Carolina Aiken visual arts faculty members have curated an exhibit of their work and are offering some pieces for sale in hopes of providing financial assistance to students.

The exhibit, located in the Etherredge Center Main Gallery, showcases works from three members of the faculty, including Al Beyer, a retiring professor who taught at the University of South Carolina Aiken for almost 40 years. Dr. Michael Fowler and Dr. Jeremy Culler have several pieces featured in the exhibit as well.

During a reception honoring Beyer's longstanding tenure at the university, hundreds of dollars were raised for the USC Aiken Art Faculty Scholarship Fund. Students majoring in fine arts with an emphasis for visual arts can apply for this scholarship.

The current exhibit runs until Aug. 15.
