"Current members include students, high school teachers, college professors, librarians, archivists, and history buffs."
Guests and presenters came from all over the state, Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions, and the world. One presenter was from Ambedkar University in Delhi, India. Several USC Aiken faculty members participated in the historical association's conference. Among those from USC Aiken were Alexia Helsley who moderated the Religious Media, Ministry and Mayhem panel. Dr. Beth Georgian presented "A Tale of Two Trials; Lorenzo Dow, the Laws, and the Courts" as part of that panel. Dr. Meaghan Dwyer-Ryan moderated the panel: Women Facing War: Duty, Passion and Memory.
"I was particularly gratified to see so many USC Aiken students attending, to learn from our presenters and wonderful keynote speaker, and to see their professors playing an active role in our profession," said Georgian who helped organize the SC Historical Association's annual meeting.
