Media Advisory - University of South Carolina Aiken's Freshman Convocation Ceremony

Aiken, SC (08/16/2021) — For Immediate Release

Media is invited to attend the University of South Carolina Aiken's (UofSC Aiken) Freshman Convocation ceremony to be held on Wednesday, August 18 at 10:00 a.m. at the university Convocation Center located at 2049 Champion Way.

Freshman Convocation will mark the first official academic ceremony for the incoming freshman class.

Speakers will include Dr. Daniel Heimmermann, chancellor, Dr. Daren Timmons, provost, and Eva Slagle, president of the Student Government Association. The top two students in the freshman class, Joshua Sharp and Alina Tomko, will be recognized along with their parents. Photo opportunities will be available to the media at the completion of the ceremony.
