Olympian to Conduct Horse Jumping Clinic
'84 Gold Medalist, Joe Fargis, Helps USC Aiken
Aiken, SC (10/25/2018) — Limited spots are now available for the Joe Fargis Jumping Clinic, Dec. 8-9, from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., both days, at the Vista Schooling and Event Center, in Aiken, S.C. All proceeds from the two-day clinic will benefit the University of South Carolina Aiken Intercollegiate Equestrian Teams.
Fargis earned individual gold and team gold medals at the 1984 Summer Olympics. During the 1988 Summer Olympics, he earned a showjumping team silver medal.
"We are thrilled to bring this level of talent to Aiken," said Brooke Webb, president of the USC Aiken Eventing Team.
"Joe is an amazing athlete and has a lot of expertise to share with our local jumpers."
Only 18 spots are available for this opportunity, which will be made up of three groups of six riders. Groups will be 2'6" - 2'9"; 3' - 3'3"; and 3'6" and above.
Cost for participants is $400 for the two-day clinic. The clinic may be audited for $20 per day or $30 for the entire weekend.
