USC Aiken Director to serve on Aiken Technical College Advisory Committee

Aiken, SC (04/07/2022) — Dr. Stacie Williams, director of Transfer Student Initiatives and Services at the University of South Carolina Aiken (USC Aiken), was recently invited to serve on Aiken Technical College's (ATC) Early Childhood Education (ECED) Advisory Committee.

ATC's Advisory Committee members have various responsibilities, including but not limited to providing suggestions for improving the curriculum, facilities, equipment, and resources; assisting with program evaluation and review of competencies; enhancing the program and ATC's image in the community, and assisting in determining the various needs of the community.

"Serving on the board will provide new opportunities for the Transfer Center to develop community connections and strengthen our USC Aiken and ATC transfer relationships," Williams said. "I'm excited because of the potential to positively impact students on both campuses and our larger community." Williams has been employed at USC Aiken since 2004.

She was invited to join the committee by Lynda Altman, Program Coordinator of Early Childhood Programs at ATC. "We're beyond thrilled that Dr. Williams agreed to participate and bring her expertise to our board," she said. "Her role will be critical because she will help our students seamlessly transfer to USC Aiken."
