UofSC Aiken Soon Accepting Nominations for "Core 4" Alumni Distinction

Aiken, SC (09/24/2021) — Each year, four University of South Carolina Aiken (UofSC Aiken) alumni are selected to be a part of the university's elite Core 4. This group demonstrates UofSC Aiken's core values of character, citizenship, curiosity, and collegiality.

Nominations for the 2022 Core 4 will be open from October 1, 2021 - January 1, 2022, and can be submitted online at uscaiken.formstack.com/forms/core_4.

Winners will be announced at UofSC Aiken's Homecoming Alumni Reception on Saturday, February 12, 2022.

Who is eligible?

  • Individuals who have obtained an associate's, bachelor's, or master's degree from UofSC Aiken.
  • Alumni who have completed a substantial amount of coursework but did not graduate (i.e., engineering majors prior to the degree being offered at UofSC Aiken, Banksia era transfer students, etc.)
  • Graduates and alumni who embrace the university values of character, citizenship, curiosity, and collegiality.
  • Self-nominations will not be accepted. Current alumni board members are ineligible for this award.

2021's winners were Dawn Bryant, Isaiah Hines, Steve Miano, and Ken Weaver. They were selected from more than 20,000 members of the university's alumni community.
