USC Aiken Magellan Scholars, Aspire Recipient Announced
Aiken, SC (05/15/2020) — The University of South Carolina Aiken boasts a few more Magellan Scholars and one more faculty ASPIRE 1 grant.
"These are highly competitive and coveted research funding programs within the USC System," said Dr. Chad Leverette, director of USC Aiken Sponsored Research and dean of the College of Sciences and Engineering.
"Our students and faculty are working on interesting research projects that are significantly enhancing the body of work related to their focus areas."
Magellan Scholars can receive up to $3,000 to underwrite their research.
"ASPIRE-I: Innovation funding is designed to support faculty seeking to develop a relatively new line of research exploration for which they ultimately plan to seek new scholarly pursuits, including external funding," according to the USC website.
The following students and faculty earned the most recent funding.
