World-Renowned Violinist to Perform at USCA

Maestro Matteo Fedeli will perform at the University of South Carolina Aiken Etherredge Center on April 11 at 7:30 p.m.

Aiken, SC (04/06/2018) — The performance is open to the public. Tickets are $10, and students are admitted at no cost.

Fedeli will play "the rare and extraordinary violin" built by Pietro Guarneri in 1709.

The program includes famous pieces for violin and piano.

"Matteo Fedeli's artistic mission is taking the voice of the famous luthiers from Cremona, Italy - Amati, Stradivari and Guarneri - to the largest possible audience," according to promotional materials for the concert.

To that end, Fedeli has traveled the world playing the Guarneri violin, which is on loan to him from a private collection.

He has performed in Aiken in the past and returns to the Etherredge Center for one night only. For tickets go to https://etherredge.usca.edu/performances/tickets.dot
